We are delighted to welcome Carlos Borges to our structural design team. He will lead our national team of structural technicians and the development of our REVIT/BIM services. Carlos is a Chartered Member of the Order of Engineers (Portugal) and has a Masters Degree in Diagnosis and Repair of Buildings and a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. He joins us from consulting engineers, Fairhursts and will be based in the South East.

We are delighted to welcome Jenny Mabbutt to our structural surveying team. Jenny joins us from RSK and will be based at our Cheshire Head Office at Sci-Tech Daresbury, primarily covering the Greater Manchester area. She brings several years' experience of structural surveying and structural design with her to Structural Surveys Ltd.

We are delighted to welcome George Lifely to the company. George is a Graduate of Bristol University and is a Chartered Civil Engineer. He will be based in our London office. He has wide ranging structural design and survey experience gained with Whitby Wood, Mott MacDonald and BAM Nuttall. George will be working across each of our main business streams - Surveys and Design and will have a particular focus on sustainability. Adrian will be based at our new Leatherhead office. He joins us from Davies Subsidence & Surveying, where he was Regional Technical Manager. Structural Surveys Ltd are delighted to have been appointed by Warrington Borough Council to provide structural design services for the exciting new development at Grappenhall Heys Primary School. The school is set to double in size from one form entry to two form entry, in order to accommodate an extra 210 pupils in response to ongoing housing developments in the south of Warrington. The development will cost £3million and will be funded by Developers, through existing Section106 planning agreements.

We are delighted to have been appointed by Scunthorpe United to complete the annual structural inspection of their ground at Glanford Park. The project is being lead by our Principal Structural Engineer, Ray Panther from our north east team. Ray has several years' experience in assessing sports stadia across the country.

He has since played an active role in developing the surveying side of the business and has implemented significant changes to our bespoke digital systems. We are delighted to announce that Structural Surveys Ltd have entered into a significant collaborative arrangement with global claims handlers, Sedgwick. We will be providing both structural survey and structural design services to support Sedgwick's Building Consultancy Division across their Northern Region. This is a substantial landmark in the development of our company and will provide further impetous for our ongoing growth. 

It's great for the company HQ to have returned to where it all started for us almost 5 years ago - The Innovation Centre, Sci-Tech Daresbury. Then we took a small space to see how our innovative approach to conducting structural surveys would pan out. Now, we are an established national leader in our field and occupy a beautiful, spacious, corner office directly overlooking the Bridgewater Canal. How times change! It's good to be "back home"

  Due to our rapid growth we are moving into new offices in our two current locations.  In the North West, we are currently based in the Innovation Centre on the Sci Tech Daresbury Park and will be moving up to Techspace One in September. The North West will remain our Head Office and we have plans for further expansion in the future. Techspace One is a high tech, high quality office space with fantastic views across the region. Structural Surveys Limited were appointed by Recresco Limited to assess serious structural damage caused by a major fire at their Ellesmere Port site. Recresco use leading edge technology to recycle glass products. Over 200 fire fighters took 5 days to extinguish the fire. We were appointed to use laser scanning to obtain 3D data and convert this into 2D drawings of the damaged buildings. Our team then completed a full, detailed structural survey to assess and record damage to all steel frames and concrete structures. .....

Structural Surveys Limited are delighted to have hosted a workshop with the Autodesk team at our Sci-Tech Daresbury, Head Office. Together we explored the use of the Autocad mobile app and potential enhancements to improve efficiency. Autodesk were particularly interested in hearing about our experiences of their app and how they could learn from this. Both companies found the workshop hugely beneficial.
